Homebuyer Education Class

Please be advised that Rural Development has a homeownership education requirement for first-time homebuyers. If you are a first-time homebuyer you will be required to provide documentation of completion of an acceptable homeownership education course.

To Demonstrate you have taken the class, you must document the course completion with a certificate or letter from the provider of the homeownership education. We strongly encourage that applicants consider and take the training early in the process.

Online Homeownership Courses

eHome America

eHome America is the Nation’s premiere online homebuyer education provider offers online homebuyer education to consumers receiving home loans from the U.S. Department of Agriculture through USDA Rural Development. Click on Learn More for course registration. The fee for this class is $75.

Utah State University Extension

USU Extension’s online Home Buyer course is approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the United States Department of Agriculture. Click on Learn More for course registration. The fee for this class is $70. Add an additional Co-Applicant for $5.
